Our Story

Oh Sweetie! Bakery is the product of a lifelong love of baking, a very patient husband, and a whole lot of heart. I'm a wife, mom, and passionate baker nestled in the heart of Bowling Green, Kentucky — and I'm so glad you're here.

My husband Rich is the calm to my crazy, the quiet to my loud, and the man who can't cook a lick but will always happily clean up the mess. Not only is he my biggest supporter, he is also my partner in every sense of the word. I'm the expert baker, and he is the expert at pretty much everything else behind the scenes. I wouldn't have even known where to start without his help and guidance, and Oh Sweetie Bakery simply would not exist without him. Together, we are parents to three amazing kids: Chase, our oldest at 23, Gracie, 21, and Landon, our youngest at 13. Life is full and loud and wonderful, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

My love of baking started long before Oh Sweetie Bakery ever had a name. Growing up, my Grandma Crowe had dessert on the table after every single meal — and I'm pretty sure I inherited both her sweet tooth and her belief that a little something sweet makes everything better. While I've always enjoyed cooking, baking has always been my true passion. There is something so special about creating something from scratch and watching the people you love enjoy it.

As for the name? That's my favorite part. I'm the kind of mom who is 100% always worrying about someone or something — the moment I hear an "ouch" or an "oops," my immediate response is "Oh sweetie, are you okay?" My youngest, Landon, caught on pretty quickly and started saying "oh sweetie" after just about every comment anyone made in the house. It stuck. So when I started dreaming about turning my love of cookies into something real, I knew the name had to mean something. And just like that, Oh Sweetie Bakery was born — named after the phrase that has always summed up exactly who I am: someone who just genuinely cares. I hope you feel that in every single thing I bake.
